If you know the person who donated to your project, you should definitely email them to thank them. But if you do not know the person who donated to your project, we cannot give you their email or address. Our privacy policy protects the privacy of donors' contact information. Yes. Of course. While ioby's work is primarily concerned with urban environmental action, we will not be excluding any projects. Often rural and suburban project leaders encounter the same challenges (such as a lack of timely funding, or need for an online portal to collect donations and build support) as project leaders in cities. ioby exists to help more environmental action happen quickly, so please, post your project at ioby.org/idea.

Yes, we offer fiscal sponsorship to any project in the NYC metro area that needs it, and we're glad you asked. ioby offers limited fiscal sponsorship at the project level to any NYC-based project group or individual that does not have 501(c)3 status. Unfortunately, at this time we cannot extend this service to projects outside of NYC, but if you need help finding a fiscal sponsor in your area, give us a call. 917-464-4515 x3.

ioby's fee policy will go into effect on April 1, 2012.

Posting a project and running your fundraising campaign on ioby is a great way to support local environmental initiatives. For this, we charge a $35 that goes to cover the materials and labor that goes into supporting the process. For projects with budgets under $1,000, we waive this fee.
