the project
Prince George's Green is a new organization designed to be a catalyst for the green economy.
The Prince George's Green Hub will be the site of green workforce education as well as green business incubation. The Prince George's Green Hub space needs an HVAC system, and furniture for classroom/office space and a new storefront.
the steps
Once the money is raised, an energy efficient HVAC system will be installed, the new store front will be installed, and furniture will be purchased. Classes can begin and the three start up green businesses can move into the space. Hope to have ribbon cutting ceremony by the end of January 2015.
why we're doing it
PGG is designed to be a catalyst for the green economy. The two major initiatives are green workforce development and green business development. PGG's goals are to be inclusive and raise awareness around green issues. Much of the urban area in Prince George's County poses environmental justice concerns. By creating an educated green workforce and supporting green entrepreneurs, we hope to grow the green economy for all.
