Jennifer Allen, Leader Success Strategist

Prior to joining ioby, Jennifer was the Director of Strategic Initiatives at Trailnet—a nonprofit that works to make walking and biking a way of life in St. Louis. There she oversaw The Calm Streets Project, built strategic partnerships, and assisted with advocacy campaigns.

Jennifer has more than 10 years of experience working as an urban planner. It began in Los Angeles where she completed her Master of Arts in Urban planning at UCLA with an emphasis in housing policy and urban design. Jennifer worked to improve Los Angeles through policy advocacy for more affordable housing, transportation options, and quality public spaces. At a job at the Mexico City office of the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy, Jennifer’s work transitioned to include bicycle and pedestrian planning.

When it’s all said and done, Jennifer wants no regrets. Did she do all she could to leave the world a better place? Did she cherish the time she was given? Jennifer likes to give back through volunteer work, which has included serving as a planning commissioner and co-leading a campaign to break the School-to-Prison pipeline in St. Louis County. She makes the most of every day by salsa and swing dancing, listening to live music, traveling, and working on fun interior design projects.
