Senior Director of Philanthropy

Ken builds partnerships with foundations and leads strategies to increase support for ioby, so that we can help even more residents make positive change in their neighborhoods. His previous development experience includes: building institutional partnerships at the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, managing individual giving programs at People For the American Way, and working on grassroots fundraising strategy with local groups. Ken has also collaborated on health projects as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Malawi, and has partnered with LGBTQ groups in China to build programming to advance their missions.

He has a Master of Public Health from Columbia University with a focus on urbanism and the built environment and the social determinants of health. He also studied political science and history at the University of Michigan.

A community organizer at heart, Ken volunteers with progressive campaigns and is active in efforts to help connect people with their local parks. He loves public space, theater, and traveling with his husband, Ben.
