Urban Forestry Tree Care; June 4th in Jackson Heights

The fourth of the Green Agenda workshops is around the corner! The Urban Forestry Tree Care on Saturday June 4th, 11 a.m., at The Renaissance Charter School auditorium on 81 Street, is part of a hands-on effort to green Jackson Heights streets by turning tree pits into blooming tree gardens, improve the health of our trees, and make summer in the city a lot cooler. The program is free and participants will be offered the opportunity for free future tree-care workshops. The compost workshop this past weekend was a success, bringing JH some amazing information about compost tea. Read more about it on the Green Agenda for Jackson Heights Facebook page. We will be exanding our tree care program of this past fall starting June 11.
