Cooper-Young represents one of the many communities nestled in the larger Midtown Memphis area; the neighborhood is bounded by Mclean to the west, Central Ave to the north, East Parkway to the east, and Southern Ave to the south. Residents, business owners, and a host of great community organizations come together to create a neighborhood that is at once beautifully historic and enjoyably modern. Many residents prize the walk and bike-ability, environmental sustainability, artistic approach to shared space, and the sense of close-knit community spirit found throughout Cooper-Young. There are so many great ways that you can help make this neighborhood even better; we invite you to browse the current projects below or if you have an idea for Cooper-Young start here. For more ideas, look at all of Memphis' ioby projects.
