Round 2 of the Cleveland Climate Action Fund Crowdfunding Challenge launches in May!

If you have an idea for making your Cleveland neighborhood more sustainable and resilient, share your idea by Monday, May 7th, to get started. Projects that demonstrate community buy-in by raising 5 donations before June 24th, may be funded up to 50% of their fundraising goal by a CCAF matching grant!

Project Eligibility:

The CCAF Crowdfunding Challenge is designed to fund ideas that are innovative, practical, and sustainable. Projects will be assessed and awarded match funds based on the following criteria:

  • Project location is within the city of Cleveland.

  • Project has an impact by:

    • reducing local carbon emissions

    • making neighborhoods more resilient to the impacts of climate change

    • improving awareness of the impacts of climate change and what can can be done about it (mitigation, adaptation, resilience)

    • generating green jobs that strengthen the local economy

    • and/or supporting environmental justice and public health

  • Project has a detailed budget and realistic work plan, meaning that it could be replicated in other neighborhoods and cities.

  • Project demonstrates community buy-in by receiving at least 5 donations through its ioby campaign page by midnight on June 24th, 2018.

Projects will be awarded match funding up to half of their total fundraising goal.

For example, if you are awarded and the fundraising goal for your project is $5,000, you will be awarded up to $2,500 in dollar-for-dollar match funding that you can earn through fundraising the other $2,500. Any donations raised prior to the June 24th deadline would be matched as part of the $2,500.
