the project
Working with Santa Barbara Bicycle Coalition (SB BIKE), CUSD and others; the hope is to bring a bilingual family bike safety program to empower families to commute on their bikes around town in order to create A Green and Healthy Community.
the steps
After enlisting volunteers from all four schools, The City of Carpinteria, SB BIKE,COAST and others, the one day project will present a bilingual safety presentation, as well as empower families with safe riding skills.
why we're doing it
Carpinteria is a small beachside town with our very own marine esturary habitat as well as creeks flowing from the mountains to the ocean. The reduction of oil products on our streets and in the air will help sustain a healthier environment. Also, the reduction of cars on the road mean healthier families riding bikes together around town.
