We have been working to making space for work, play, and art: the Geekeasy, the Art Gym, Cork and Wax Listening Lounge & the Serenity Vault. We need money and help to finish these projects.

The Brownhoist is becoming a place of belonging: so many people are here, and so many projects are taking shape! But we're all creatives: the ideas may be unlimited but time, energy, and resources are not. We'd love your support as we build out these spaces for shared community use:
The Geekeasy: Movies, videogames, pinball and all things tech-y and fun. Our collaborators at Rush Company and Gamerhaven are taking the lead on this space.
The Garden: For the Love of Foliage is giving some love to our landscaping, adding native plants and perennials, trimming trees and brush, and tidying up the patio for parties.
Cork & Wax: Splice Cream Truck is installing a vinyl listening lounge for an immersive audio experience.
Art/Gym: We're relocating our workout facility to the high-ceilinged basement, and Loren Naji is designing picture rails for our art gallery. We would love help moving and cleaning and building as we prepare to host curated exhibitions!
Serenity Vault: An old-fashioned rest room: a place to relax, retreat, and recover. Whether you're nursing a baby or nursing a headache, this space offers comfort and quiet with changeable lighting, soundscapes and sensory equipment.
April 1: Start cleaning and demolition
May 1: Repair drywall, add wiring and plumbing upgrades, paint and upgrade flooring as needed
June 1: Move furniture and large equipment, finalize garden
July 1: Test systems, add signage and instructions, patio install
August 1: Internal soft launch for helpers and members
September 1: Invite the public in!
Everyone needs a space to be fully human; our beautiful building offers space for creativity and community to collide. We share skills, knowledge and talent across disciplines and among all different art forms, building something new in the heart of Cleveland.
