the project
We are adding another mural to our Carnes Garden East community garden. This neighborhood continues improve and we are so pleased to be part of the progress. We are grateful to everyone for the help with Phase I and the artist is working now (check our Carnes Garden Facebook page for some pictures). It is time to fund the second part of this project and continue beautifying this site.
The Carnes Gardens have given the residents of this neighborhood a beautiful gathering place and a place to grow their own produce. There are some amazing flowers also that bring many butterflies - therefore we use the butterfly as our theme. We encourage everyone to come visit, spend some relaxing time in our gardens and you are always welcome to volunteer on one of our many projects during the year. We have two summer youth projects scheduled in June.
the steps
Once funded, our team will engage our artist and she/he will purchase supplies. Our artist will also present our Carnes Garden team with a concept and once approved, our artist will start painting! We anticipate July 7th as a date to have our artist start painting with completion by the August 7th-weather permitting.
