the steps

Through direct partnerships community residents will have an opportunity to work with leaders and professionals throughout the year who will provide mentorship in leadership, opportunities to participate in civic engagement, career training, academics, peer support and health/wellness and fitness activities.

why we're doing it

As positive adult engagement increases, our strategies instill in students the self-confidence and motivation to stay in school, graduate from high school and pursue post-high school education, career training and/or employment.  The fundraising model provides sustainable resources to support the scalability of strategy.

Throughout the calendar year, communities throughout the county, compete against each other earning points for participation in a variety of youth centered opportunities that promote academic success, connectivity to family and community, positive social emotional skill development and healthy lifestyles to determine which community has the highest level of resident involvement and family engagement. and thus a better community for its young people. The point system embedded within the event calendar braids youth development best practice with the core principles of human behavior and competition.

We anticipate these project operations expenses to be used for event operations, insurances, marketing, talent, and operating capital to acquire the materials, equipment and facilities etc. as necessary for project implementation.
