We are Sacramento’s award-winning, nonprofit literary performance series where the work of today's best authors is performed with theatrical flair by professional actors. Designated by Sactown Magazine as Best of the City 2019, we are going into our 14th season in 2023 and will continue to bring the Sacramento region unforgettable evenings of prose performed live!
Let us tell you a story on Second Fridays in Midtown:
February (2/10/23)
April (4/15/23)* (This is a special Saturday event in partnership with Literary Death Match & the Chills at Will Podcast!)
June (6/9/23)
September (9/8/23)
October (10/13/23)
***Every $50 donated will be credited with a Season Subscription (ticket) for the remainder of the 2022 season and the entirety of the 2023 season—which means $100 donated = 2 Season Subscriptions and so on!***
Valerie Fioravanti created our reading series in early 2010 as a way to inspire and connect writers in the Sacramento region—and, boy, did it! Now, more than a decade later, Stories on Stage Sacramento is one of the region's premier literary events, bringing together countless local writers, readers, and performers to celebrate the work they love and live. It has even inspired a sister series across the causeway, Stories on Stage Davis.
