the project

We believe in building opportunity by activating our community's open spaces.

We are launching a lead abatement program to clean our soil while creating beautiful community spaces. Data collected will inform scalable lead abatement throughout our city and region. The space will layer in stormwater abatement and community employment.

Our creativity builds jobs and economic pathways, installs play spaces, solves stormwater runoff, cleans our air, stimulates property values, and mobilizes our community's vision for a resilient and beautiful future.

We are raising support to reduce our exposure to lead, expand the number of community spaces we beautify, and the number of jobs we build doing it, and the benefits those activated spaces provide to our neighbors.

Lead is a hazard in soil as well as water, and this project is to reduce exposure.

Allegheny County Conservation District has granted $10,000 to see this project. We are all pitching in to double these funds.

Would you join us with a contribution that's meaningful to you?

the steps

We are planting a large community space to remove lead from the soil to reduce our exposure.  The site will remediate lead, manage stormwater, and be a beautiful place in Allentown.

why we're doing it

We believe in building opportunity by activating our community's open spaces.
