the project

We believe in bringing the community together to celebrate jazz, and to invest in the next generation of jazz artists.

To keep our Jazz on the River event happening, we are all contributing to the costs in addition to ticket sales.  Approximately $5,000 in event costs remains after ticket sales.

We are also fundraising to support 3 or more scholarships for young jazz artists going off to college.  We've set a goal here of $10,000 to raise above the cost of the event, to award these scholarships.

Thank you for investing in our community celebration and in our next generation of jazz leaders through your donations.

the steps

The Jazz on the River event ticket sales will cover approximately $10,000 of the event's costs.

We will raise the remaining $5,000 together as community to keep the celebration going.

We will raise funds above and beyond the event to support scholarships for our young musicians going off to college.

In June 2018 we will award the scholarships.

why we're doing it

We believe in investing in the next generation of jazz musicians and so we're all contributing to raise these scholarships.

budget

DISBURSED BUDGET (2.13.19):

The $129 was spent on the students scholarship

RAISED = $140.00
less ioby Platform Fee waived
less ioby Fiscal Sponsorship Fee (5%) $6.67
less ioby Donation Processing Fee (3%) $4.08
TOTAL TO DISBURSE = $129.26

ORIGINAL BUDGET

Tickets to the annual Jazz on the River community event will bring in approximately $10,000.

The remaining costs for the event are $5,000.  We are asking that the entire community contribute to keep this event happening.

We are also raising funds above the event's cost in order to provide scholarships to jazz students going off to college. We are asking that the entire community invest in the next generation of jazz artists through your donations here.  We've set a goal here of $10,000 for the scholarships, but we can exceed that together!

The $5,000 for the event's costs plus the $10,000 for scholarships is our total, plus the ioby small fees:

Project Subtotal =  $15,000
ioby Platform Fee  $35
ioby Donation Processing Fee (3%) $450
Total to raise on ioby = $15,485
