The funding from this project will be used to create the walking path at Mooers Recreation Park. Our town has a limited number of sidewalks, therefore forcing individuals who are walking or running to use the traveled roadway. The walking path would allow individuals within our community and neighboring communities to have a safe place to walk, run, rollerblade, and bike!
After raising the funds, The Town highway department, myself, and the contractor willl be working together to get this project completed in a timely manner for the community to start using.
This walking path will provide a safe place for community residents to walk their dogs, walk, run, bike, and rollerblade. They won't have to worry about traffic or other concerns walking on busy roadways.
