About the project
We plan to purcahse and install a bike repair station (with tire pump, bike stand and repair tools) for the Belle Isle Bicycles Skills Area. RVA MORE is asking the local cycling community to show their support by funding the purchase of the repair stand. This is a similar stand to the ones being installed through out the James River Park System.
The Steps
After we purchase the bike repair station, the City of Richmond (James River Park System) will take care of the installation.
Why we‘re doing it
We'd like to provide basic bicycle repair tools for the Belle Isle Bicycle Skills Area which was designed and built to teach young and new riders off-road bicycling skills that they can use when exploring the 20+ miles of mountain bike trails in downtown Richmond, VA. This will allow for basic bike maintenance and repair while practicing at the skills area.
