the project
Our garden is a small space but we want to invovle as many of our neighbors as possible. The hydroponic system will make our use of the space more efficient and vertical while also needing less maintenance for watering. The greater use of space and less time can allow us to serve more members and encourage more members with limited time to use the garden.
the steps
Once we raise funds, we will purchase all items and build out the hydroponic system over the course of several work days in spring 2014.
why we're doing it
We see SNMG as a testing ground for innovation and education in community gardening -- to test new ways to garden in a dense, urban environment with limited space. This system can help us with that goal, and hopefully to become a model for other gardens in he city and beyond.
