Unshakeable Motherhood will exist to establish a community of diverse women on the Northside of Pittsburgh area who support, exhort and encourage one another along the journey of motherhood. We build genuine relationships with mothers through seasonal local meet-ups, online and our annual event designed to help mothers feel confident about navigating pregnancy, labor and delivery, life with infant, homemaking combined with financial strategies and the overall transition to motherhood.
Our Unshakeable Motherhood offers monthly educational workshops, while offering childcare and opportunities for selfcare. We offer participants exclusive tools and resources to empower them.
Our goal is to offer an educational opportunity to (10) aspiring birth professionals to receive a scholarship for a full intensive training for prenatal, labor and postpartum doula training. As we serve mothers locally, we would like to raise up birth companions that are culturally aware to serve mothers entering motherhood and beyond. The training will provide them with tools, skills, confidence and know how to begin their journey to lovingly assisting pregnant women through pregnancy, labor, birth and into motherhood employing emotional and physical support with local and national resources.
Our 2019 programming is fundraising to offer 10 full scholarships to Northside mothers for full certification in prenatal, labor and postpartum doula training.
