The Visual Arts Program in Centro Cultural Barco de Papel aims to support newly emigrated artists from different parts of the world. In this sense, it is important to note that for decades now, Elmhurst and Jackson Heights in the borough of Queens, have been migratory reception districts. The Visual Arts Program aims to expose the development of contemporary art activity happening in the neighborhood.This area is now on it’s way of becoming a reference for newly established and emigrated artists.
