About Us
Mi Jardin will transform a bus stop into a place that represents and serves the residents of the East Riverside neighborhood. Three whimsical shading structures will stand out in the landscape and draw attention to a community that may never have seen this type of place building opportunity. The plaza is a celebration of Latin culture and community in both form and function and is also intended for the user to take pride in and identify with. Mi Jardin is a SEED (Social, Economic, Environmental Design) Network project which includes the user in the design process, from surveying bus riders, including bus riders at the charrette, and further engaging the community throughout the design and construction process. Mi Jardin is envisioned as a place that bus riders and the neighborhood at large can delight in and take ownership of as a landmark and place to connect with their community.
