Greene Acres is a community garden in Bedford-Stuyvesant. One hundred members and many visitors learn about organic gardening and sustain a vital urban green space. We grow vegetables, fruits, herbs and flowers, harvest rainwater, operate a large composting operation, and hold cultural and horticultural events for the community throughout the season. In the last couple years, we have adopted five hens who are much-loved by members and visitors.
