Since we began our on-the-ground work in Memphis, ioby has supported more than 200 resident leaders to plan, fund, and build positive change in neighborhoods across the city. Together, these leaders have raised more than $610,000 in small donations to make Memphis neighborhoods greener, safer, more livable, and more full of opportunity for all residents. To see the full extent of our work, check out the Memphis Impact Report.

"This ioby project was a good case study identifying and addressing problems as a group. I learned that if you have a good idea and share it with other people, they will support you. And if you give them the opportunity, they will help. Memphis is one of the most unusual places I've lived, in that there's an expectation that people will take care of what's around them."

- Robyn Mace, ioby leader, Evergreen Rain Garden

Introducing Chris Jones!

Because of the growing number of resident leaders stepping up to make positive change, we are excited to announce a new addition to the ioby Memphis team. Meet Chris Jones, Memphis Action Strategist! Chris and Ellen will be working together to help even more leaders like you make the change you want to see in your community. A Memphis resident of over 20 years, Chris lives in Harbor Town. He’s thrilled to build on his years of experience as an employment attorney and leader in grassroots initiatives around education, art, and progressive politics.
