Every year for 22 years we have held a batizado, a festival of capoeira, where we host masters to teach guest workshops, and we have a graduation for our students. Normally, this is a big event with many community members both local and from around the country gathered together for all the live music, dance, martial arts, acrobatics, and sweaty fun that's involved in this art. But because of Covid, the last two years we have had very small, just local, one-day, outdoor events in the park. They were nice, and we are proud that we kept the tradition going. But now we feel it is safe again, plus several of our members are due to graduate, so this year we'd like to have a proper gathering and celebration. 

We intend to bring around 20 master practitioner/teachers from around the US here to Sacramento, to spend five days with us teaching, performing, and inspiring. For people that want to participate in the capoeira workshops and circles, there is a sliding scale fee. For the public to watch, everything is free. Most of the action will be taking place at Move!
