The Emerald Awards is an unpaid parks or green spaces volunteer recognition awards program held each year in November.
We have an annual Awards ceremony that honors parks and green space volunteers that are doing exceptional work in parks and green spaces. This helps to motivate people to do more things to make Queens cleaner and greener
We accept nominations for exceptional Queens Volunteers, check out their work and then have a recognition for them in November each year. It helps to recognize them and motivate others to get involved and do more for our Queens environment.
By recognizing unpaid volunteers we motivate them and others to do more to help our green environment here in Queens.
