We want to put tools and the ability to use those tools within reach of everyone in our community. Having the access and ability to use tools empowers community members to work on projects, accomplish tasks, and build skill sets that will improve our community.
We have already started the business structure and started collecting and purchasing appropriate tools to make available. We've connected with an online library server that has given us access to their software to help us run the tool shed more efficiently. We still need to input our existing tool catalogue into the online software and setup membership details. We also need to secure our location that we are going to be operating out of and get our tools transported there. Once these tasks are done, we'll be ready to have our grand opening and start making a difference in our community.
We are doing this because we have seen a need for tool availability that is outside most peoples tool box. They would be completely capable of using the tool but are typically apprehensive because of cost or training necessary.
