Friends For Life has partnered with generous donors like you for over a decade to bring gifts of toys to our clients' children during the holidays.

With your donations this season, we will be able to bring this show of love and warmth to so many of our families whose lives are affected by HIV/AIDS. Thank you for giving!

the steps

This is how the Toy Drive works at Friends For Life:

Starting in October, we ask for your contributions to fund this delightful annual program. There is no deadline for giving, but by November, our staff is talking with eligible clients to determine exactly which toys their little ones are asking for. This way, Friends For Life can deliver precisely what each child wants.

Then, directed by the children's wishes and using donor funds designated to the Toy Drive, the staff at Friends For Life shops for the specific toys requested by each child. The toys are then delivered directly to our clients' homes in ample time for them to gift to their children for the holidays.

why we're doing it

Providing the traditional gifts children expect at the holidays is often a financial challenge and therefore a stress for many of Friends For Life’s clients. For more than a decade, it has been an honor for us at Friends For Life to engage with these families and help them out by supplying gifts that they need to fully enjoy the holiday season with their children.

The mission of Friends For Life is to prevent the transmission of HIV and help those affected by HIV/AIDS live well. From day to day, we accomplish this through a variety of programming addressing HIV prevention, health and wellness, confidential HIV and STI testing, medical care, food and housing assistance, education, and more. During the holiday season, our annual Toy Drive enables us to go a step further, share some joy, and really demonstrate how much we care about our clients and their loved ones.
