the project

Buck Out Cleveland is a dance organization and studio dedicated to offering technical dance training, performance opportunities, character development, audition preparation, and educational assistance to aspiring marching band auxiliary members at Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs) and dancers curious about pursuing dance as a career. Our goal is to ensure that youth who aspire to become professional and college-level dancers are not inhibited by the lack of access to the tools and resources necessary to thrive in the field. The Diamond MVMT is one of our dance companies, and is dedicated to providing a low-barrier safe space, for minority girls and women, to bond socially, release emotionally, and express creatively through various styles of dance.  Our vision is to cultivate confident, ambitious young women, resulting in increased community morale and fearless performers.

Femininity is The Diamond MVMT's Spring 2022 dance showcase. This event will highlight the beauty, integrity, and strength of women through dance presentations and pieces in various genres of dance, including HBCU Dance Style, Heels, Hip-Hop, and Jazz. Please consider helping us raise the expenditures to provide a high quality presentation and salute the power of women.

the steps

Our dancers have been engaged in dance training since March of 2022. Every week, dancers dedicate hours and hours both physically and mentally to developing their skills in our studio. As our dancers continue to train, our administrative team is working to solidify our event space and other partners to help bring our vision and concept to light.

why we're doing it

Providing our dancers with performance experiences is essential to our programming. These experiences develop our dancers socially and motivate them to consider dance and a sincere option on a colligate and professional level.
