the project
We hope that this project would create a public area that allows for people to congregate and spend time in a comfortable and informal manner. With the added seating we could create a great welcoming public space that locals and visitors could spend time in a fun and new way. This will also enhance the events currently going on in the plaza by offering more seating options.
the steps
Following receiving the funding we would purchase the adirondack chairs and amount raised would determine quality of the materials used to construct the chairs. We would work with Lake Erie Shores and Islands and the City of Sandusky and local surrounding businesses and organizations to maintain the equipment.
why we're doing it
We are doing it because we believe the downtown Sandusky area needs a more welcoming space for people to spend time and relax in that is family friendly and centric. This would allow people to spend more time downtown and spend more money in local businesses while also creating a place for people to gather and communicate with strangers and friends alike. Donations are tax deductible.
