Our organization is located in East Cleveland, OH in which we have a poverty rate of 36% and the medium house hold income is $22,426.00. In my studies, I learned that the "Church" is the center of our communities. Yes, we work with the food bank of Greater Cleveland where we distribute food, fruits and vegetables monthly. We provide space for AA meetings weekly, emergency funding for utilities and other emergency services through LOVE INC.
At Starlight, we are currently working on a project to "Restore" our Youth department. We have met, reminisced on our past and what was done. For many years, we had a "Bike-A-Thon" where we rode through out the city (like a parade) invite the community to join us. Fast forward, with us currently working through a pandemic, we are seeking bikes and or donations to purchase bikes to ensure every child will have a bike to participate.

why we're doing it
In order to make a difference, we are asking generous individuals and businesses to make a donation where this event will always be a memory the young people will never forget. We are giving the Youth of our church and the East Cleveland community bikes to participate in our bike-a-thon, this will give them the opportunity to exercise and enjoy as well.
