the project

Here at Benevine, we are committed to connecting young professionals in the greater Pittsburgh area, who demonstrate a passion to serve their community, with local nonprofits in need of industry specific assistance through collaborative, memorable, and innovative opportunities.

We are unique in that our model identifies the greatest capacity needs for local nonprofits and connects that need to a specific group of young professional volunteers. We also place a strong emphasis on the professional and personal development of our volunteers, as they are the driving force behind our projects.

In order to launch our services, we are in need of financial support to apply for our 501c3 status and volunteers to build our base of young professionals. This will allow us to provide our services at little to no cost to local nonprofits, while developing a pipeline for the next generation of community advocates and leaders.

why we're doing it

Benevine revolutionizes the way that young professionals engage with nonprofits in the greater Pittsburgh area to make a meaningful impact. We strongly believe that young professionals with a diverse set of skills are an untapped resource, which when called to action, will support and promote the overall sustainability of nonprofits in the region.

Our primary goal is to be a nonprofit connector that will:

  • Ensure organizations tasked with providing necessary community services have the capacity to meet the needs of those they serve
  • Provide young professionals in the region with multiple opportunities to explore their interests and passions through service
  • Support the development of long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships between young professionals and local nonprofits
