Say Goodbye to "The Talk"

The vision for Incredible Talks is like combining a TED Talks with your 6th grade health class. For the last several decades parents have relied on schools to deliver the basic information about human development through puberty, but in Cincinnati our public schools rarely have capacity (especially during a pandemic!) to deliver this extra content. The result is an entire generation of kids who are LESS educated about their bodies than the last few - and who even thought that was possible?

Our first session will focus strictly on the female body during puberty, but the intent is to grow the offering to include sexuality and other reproductive topics throughout the course of a woman's lifetime.  Truth, community, and empowerment is what we owe to our children. Incredible Talks aim to deliver that.

why we're doing it

Despite living in the information age (or perhaps because of it), our young people are flooded with informational possibilities through the internet and social media platforms, but they lack the guidance to discern useful, factual information, from the pages and pages of search results and TikTok videos. Our goal is to take a modern, engaging approach to delivery trustworthy information so Cincinnati's children become adults who can make educated choices about their bodies.
