The Twelve Days of Christmas, Inc. is a national 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is committed to sharing our blessings with others through collective effort, charitable activities, and community involvement. Our National Founding Chapter celebrates 25 years in 2024.  Our Detroit Chapter hosts events annually enabling us to provide families across the city with essentials and the treasures of a complete Christmas.  It is in this spirit that we invite you to donate to assist in raising funds to purchase gifts for Detroit children in need and for this year’s Christmas event which will take place in November.

With funds previously raised, we have been able to:

  • Aid approximately 240 children throughout the city in meeting their holiday and back-to-school needs;
  • Provide financial support for families in need;
  • Donate hundreds of dollars to organizations such as the Gleaners Foundation to support local children and families for Thanksgiving; and
  • Donate books and computer software to meet our literacy goals. 

Twelve Days of Christmas, Detroit has been honored to receive grant funds from Comerica Bank in 2022. 

Twelve Days of Christmas, Detroit is also the recipient of the 2021 Community Service Impact Award from Wellsprings Detroit.

With your help we would like to do more and to impact even more children this year.

Once we reach our goal, we will be ready to bless the kids/families by taking the following steps:

  • Distribute the children's wish lists to our members - late October
  • Members shopping day(s) scheduled - 2-3 dates in November
  • Wrapping/Packing - late November/early December
  • Delivery to families - mid December

We are humbled and excited to continue our passion of blessing children of the Motor City with our resources and those that our organization can offer by way of donations from other passionate, motivated, caring people that want to give.

Approximate budget for purchase of toys, games, electronics, clothing, and school supplies for 35-45 children at Christmas:

-Toys/Gift cards/Technology - $7,000 

-Wrapping/Packing - $250

-Literacy - $750
