We’re raising funds to send Shimekia Nichols, Soulardarity’s Deputy Director, to Movement Generation’s Justice and Ecology Retreat from Wednesday May 13th - Sunday May 17th 2020 at the Occidental Arts & Ecology Center in Occidental, CA. The training will include learning and strategizing with a select cohort of local and national leaders of racial, economic and environmental justice movements. We will explore the depths and connections of the current ecological, economic, and social crises and design key strategic movement interventions.

Soulardarity is based on co-building a movement led by oppressed and vulnerable Black and Brown communities. We’re committed to a Just Transition away from profit and pollution and towards a healthy, resilient and life-affirming society. This year one of our staff, Shimekia Nichols, shifted to a new title as Soulardarity’s Deputy Director, and has been accepted by Movement Generation to their Justice & Ecology Retreat in California in May!
